Labor day with the NW Labor council

Happy Labor Day, Portland! Shout out to UFCW, Local 555 on the line at Fred Meyer.

Today at the annual NW Oregon Labor Council’s Labor Day picnic, we celebrated the hard-working union members who built and continue to sustain our vibrant city and state. It was awesome to shake hands with union members from all walks of life. All workers have benefited from the work of organized labor. We have better work hours, working conditions, and benefits because of the decades of fighting for worker’s rights. We aren’t done yet. As Mayor I look forward to standing side-by-side fighting for worker’s rights.
